A 17-year-old boy who has gone missing since last Thursday from Phulchoki of Lalitpur is yet to be found.
John Tamang, a sixth grader at Thasikhel-based Ajaya Shiksha Sadan, was on a hike to Phulchoki along with his peers and the school’s principal Durga Bahadur Oli. Whereas 10 kids and the principal returned home safe, Tamang’s whereabouts is not known yet.
DSP Binod Silwal of Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato, says security personnel as well as locals have been mobilised in the search, but to no avail.
The missing child’s elder brother Sabin says locals of Dandagaun have said they saw the child, hence the operation is centred around there.
